Consisting of remnants from newly finished renovation of das WUK, the sculpture No Loitering II merges with the new railing and attempts to connect the freshly separated outdoor spaces by playfully blurring the set boundaries. The softness of the insulation material counteracts this rigid barrier and transforms it into a multifunctional element. In this way, No Loitering II points out the 'invisible' architectural structures in urban space, which are often - out of necessity - appropriated for other purposes by local users.

The artwork was commissioned for the exhibition 'In the Open' at Kunsthalle Exnergasse in WUK, Vienna.
